Hi
Ds wants to take out the Matrix on Video to watch with a friend as they are convinced they are the only kids in the class who have not seen it 'a million times'. Poor deprived things... I havent seen it, notice its a '15', and wondered if anyone cd tell me what its like.
Thanks!

is it suitable for 11 year olds ? I think no. I wish I'd listened to my mum a lot of years ago and not watched something on tv that has continued to disturb me ever since Probably depends on your ds though - how sensitive he is. Matrix is quite disturbing on some levels but a lot of kids probably just see it as a great action movie.

my ds (soon to be 9) recently saw it on video with us - he loved it, especially the fantasy element. He likes action/sci fi type things - star wars, star trek, Buffy, etc and doesn't have nightmares about them. It was on the edge of acceptablitly as far as I was concerned. OK just, but I wouldn't have wanted him to watch it without an adult and I wouldn't take him to see it on a big screen. HTH

Thank you both. Will have to ponder some more. He is seemingly unaffected by 'scary' books (I found the 4th H Potter, and Northern Lights, pretty disturbing but he seemed unbothered), so would probably be fine but I'm just not sure.
