What present should I get my friend who's just had her 2nd DD?

There's only a 2 year age gap so they'll have all the practical stuff/ clothes etc they need. Any ideas ladies?
thanks!

The latest Now CD - for her keepsake box... all the chart-astic pop tunes that were about when she was born.

Something to occupy her first child while she's feeding etc. I made a box for a friend's ds when his sibling was born containing a tub of bubbles/finger puppets/crayons and colouring book/boxes of raisins and numerous other little bits and pieces and it went down really well.

Thanks so much! These are brilliant ideas. We live a flight away so I'll do some things I can post, but will bear in mind cooking/ baby sitting when friends who live closer have number 2...

I don't know, I think it's quite nice to have some new clothes for a new baby.

domesticallychallenged · 27/02/2009 19:23

I agree with LaTrucha - new clothes always go down well. DD2 is 3 weeks old and I have received some lovely outfits despite being kitted out from DD1. Have your friends DD's been born at the same time of year? That can make a difference to the clothes she has.

missmapp · 27/02/2009 19:26

I agree with clothes, I was really pleased with the outfits ds2 was bought, it made him feel special and unique to have his own outfits aswell as ds1's hand me downs. Also, as you have no reason to buy them clothes yourself (as they do have all they need!) presents of clothes are lovely

LaTrucha · 27/02/2009 21:24

this is also cute. I've bought it as a newborn present. My 13 month DD sleeps with it on her head!

These very very cute socks - they actually stay on and she will get soooo many compliments.

Sorry still haven't learnt how to add a link the posh way!
