Are those EBook Sony things worthwhile - thinking of B'day pressie for DH.

Are they any good?

Are the books super expensive to download?

Was thinking of getting one for DHs b'day in June but didn;t want to get it and find out it was shite and the books are super expensive to downlaod.

dp bought me one for my birthday and I love it but I have only been reading the free classics that came with it. I think that the Waterstones web site is pretty poor for downloads - the books are still pricey and the choice isnt brilliant. That said, I know that Sony have brought a new version of the ebook out in the US and I am sure the facilities will improve before long. It is still pretty new technology.
