Hi,

Looking for one that gives out enough light for the 3 DC's to see to get to the bathroom during the night.

Any suggestions please?

We have one I bought in Robert Dyas. It gives out good light - takes a 20 watt bulb. Plugs straight into the wall socket.

They came in a triple pack and says the following on the packet:

"Triple Pack Basix" made by SMJ Electrical.

Very cheap but work well. Just make sure you buy plenty of spare bulbs and always keep a few spare in the drawer as they blow at the most inoppportune moment.

I've got wonderful ones from Ikea which have a light sensor on so they come on automatically when it gets dark.

Got one from Lakeland 3 years ago and never had to change the bulb. Think it cost £5-10.

we leave a very low energy dim light on in the spare room every night.

We have a Moonlight (as linked to by Groovychick) and they are very good, as well as aparently very cheap to run!

throckenholt · 25/02/2009 10:21

tesco do some led ones that are good, cheap, and don't cost much to run.

They give a low, green light - doesn't look like much when you first turn them on, but we have them in both DD's rooms and there is enough light to see by when you're up in the middle of the night. I'm not sure I could sleep with one in the room though, but then I like it pitch black.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

The Moonlight looks good as one thing I hate is replacing the bulbs in the lights that always go when you haven't a spare and are so expensive.

Like Ruby, I'd like to know how bright these are?
