Nintendo DSi -is anyone pre-ordering one?

DD has been saving her pennies for the new DSi which is being released in April (she chose to wait for this rather than get the normal DS at Xmas).

I'm aware that you can pre-order from Argos (with a free accessories pack thrown in) or from Game (no extras) but is there anywhere else with any offers?

Is anyone out there going to be buying one?

I don't know whether to buy one for me or not. You can't play the gameboy advance games on it, which means I probably will not be able to play guitar hero, as you plug the guiter bit into the same slot gba games go into.

Not sure it's worth £150 either, lol. The camera is less than 1mp and if you really want it for MP3s, get a R4 or DSTT.

have you tried toysrus or smyths?

DD wants it mainly for the games but I think it also appealed that it had the camera/music capabilities.

TBH we're not really a gadgety/computer games family so this will be the first thing beyond the old Gameboy Advance that shes had for playing games on.

DS will get the GA passed on to him so he'll be happy as the games for that will just be for him and I've already bought some DS games (for when I thought we were buying DD the normal DS for her birthday lst year).

Re: price -last year they claimed the DSi would be the sme price as a DS but they're around £100 aren't they?

bodiddly -just checked ToysRUs and apparently they are not doing pre-orders but "will have plenty in stock in every store on the release day" .-don't think I'm going to drive 25/30 miles to our nearest on only to find them queuing round the block for the 3 they have. Lifes too short

£149.99 at Argos. I didn't think it would be the same price as the DS lite unless they drop the price of the lite from the 3rd April. I want to see one in the flesh before I buy one and will wait for colours other than black/white .

It's good that your dd is saving for it though. I'm not good at savng.

Shes done really well saving up for it -when she puts her mind to it shes quite determined .
