Bugaboo bee – when is the next model coming out?

Does anyone know when Bugaboo are planning on bringing out the next model of the bugaboo bee?

We are thinking of buying one but there are several problems with them (seat too small /canopy too low, doesn?t go upright enough, no adjustable footrest, hard to fold etc.).

I keep hearing that they?re likely to make improvements that will solve these problems when they bring out the next model, but I am having trouble finding out when that will be.

My first baby is due in May so I?d rather wait a few months before buying one in case the new model is coming out soon.

I?ve written to bugaboo but haven?t heard back from them, so wondered if any of you buggy experts knew?

Many thanks!

if you want a lightweight buggy that will last and last go for a maclaren XLR. you can clip in a car seat, and you can buy a soft carrycot for new baby. If folds more easily than the bee, weighs the same, and will last for years and years, and is fab for a toddler. If you get a bugaboo you'll end up buying a maclaren in the end, so just save yourself the money (advice from a buggy addict)

Ive got a Bee and havent had any problems with it just a bit stiff to put up,not heard about them making any changes anytime soon ,ive also had an xlr and although it is nice and great for a toddler i would definatly rather get a Bee for a newborn ,i love mine and thought i would hate it but its been great so far .

The Pink ones are definitely different. The other colours are improved models post Oct 2008 I am pretty sure so if you buy from somewhere with a high turnover you should be fine .

Thanks for all the advice! The main reason we're thinking of going for a bee is that it can face both ways, as well as being really light.

So, it doesn't sound like anyone's heard of any new models on the way...

Interesting that the pink ones should be different. I guess if they brought out improved models in Oct 08 then they won't be bringing out another model anytime soon.
