Maclaren Xt - taking fabric off to clean it

Argh, the instructions aren't online at Maclaren site.

Through brute force and ignorance I've got the seat fabric and strapping off, except the 2 final waist straps which are fastened into metal loops.

Can anyone tell me what the knack is here please? Do I have to turn the metal loops out, is there a break in the loop that will let me slide the straps off?

I washed mine the other day. You have to take them off the metal D rings IYKGWIM. It is possible. Then just chuck them in at 30 degrees. They come up fantastic.

Magic! Had dinner went back to it with fresh eyes and of course they slipped out easy Cheers

Didnt know I could take them off and mines 6 years old. Went to get it the other day and it was a bit mildewy from sitting in the shed, but handwashed it after seeing this, and its come up fab Bit shocked at the colour of the water tho - it didnt look that dirty!
