I am desperately looking for childs bed (my daughter is 3) as need one now. I have found this bed in Argos - does anyone have any thoughts on it?:

Also - why does it say only suitable for over 6 years olds - any ideas? Thanks

Can you tell I am a slight perfectionist

cant work the link, but if it is any help, I have just put my dd (3) straight from a cot bed into a double bed this week, with no problems at all.

lilymolly · 20/02/2009 12:02

cant understand why it would be over 6s only ?

stressed2007 · 20/02/2009 12:02

yes i do! and if that one is no good please can someone suggest one that isn't going to cost about £800 with the mattress! I am happy to spend more then this one but £800 is a bit much

that bed is very cute, perfect for a little girl.

DD2 has been in a single since she was 2.4yrs with no problems at all.

mamadiva · 20/02/2009 12:03

LOL cros post with crackernut

It's cute not sure why it's for 6 and up though, maybe because of height or something? If it don't worry I know kids who have gone straight from cot to single bed with a bed rail.

only downside is that because of shape of head and foot board can not go bang up against a wall. I really can't face spending the £400+ from GLTC or aspace etc so am torn

We put ds(2) straight into a low cabin bed from Dreams. He can climb out but can't climb init by himself:www.dreams.co.uk/en-gb/Search/?term=cabin%2520beds&language=en-GB With a bed guard he's fine and loads of storage underneath.

stressed2007 · 20/02/2009 12:12

oh that is nice too - not too high. Really want white bed though.

My dughter has asked for a blue bed (well that is what she said last week) - now that would muck up our proposed colour scheme.
