most comfortable travel cot?

All the mattresses in travel cots seem so thin, can anyone recommend a lovely comfy one? only ever see one or two on display in high st shops, & the rest are available online so I can't have a good feel of them!

IME all travel cot mattresses are thin as they are only designed for short term use.

I have one I was going to sell if you don't mind preloved.

you could always buy a separate mattress thus

NB if you will be using the travle cot a lot and the baby is small (or not yet born) do consider getting one with a bassinette eg thus (though many cheaper online if you search) as it is a lot easier on your back.

I do have one from my eldest which is a 'regular' travel cot but wondered if there were any advances in travel cot comfort technology! Thanks anyway Nabster!

Separate mattress is a good idea, does that go on top of the travel cot mattress, or instead?

I bought a mattress topper from Ikea. It's much easier to transport than a whole separate mattress - it fits folded in the carry bag.

aha I was looking or those toppers to recommend - SIL had one - but couldn't think where she'd got it - not Mothercare, JL etc

I got a mattress for the travel cot from babies r us. It goes on top of the normal bit.
We have a Graco pack n play.

ditto baby ocho. same mattress same travel cot! worth investing in a good mattress then a cheap travel cot will be fine!!!
