Our son is 3 shortly and we're having a small party for him. I'd like to buy a cake from one of the main supermarkets for him as I can't afford to get one made specially this year. Would like to keep it to 10 to 15 pounds. Any suggestions, preferably one with a Thomas/Pocoyo/Peppa pig image or some other well known character off childrens tv, he loves them all!

I have always found the M & S ones to be pretty good. Don't know which characters they have though. It is dh's 40th tomorrow and we are having their chocolate Dr Who Dalek birthday cake.

Morrisons had a Peppa Pig cake I saw today, but not sure how much it was. I shouldn't think it was expensive though.

Tesco did a Thomas cake when I got one for ds's first birthday 4 years ago (how time passes ). I would bet they still do it? It was great - I especially loved the black roof icing. It was also enormous so cheered my days for a good while afterwards.

DS has had a Thomas cake from Tescos - he had it for his 4th birthday so in 2007.
