First skateboard - any recommendations for DSs 1+2?

They are soon to be 6 and 5 years respectively, there are 10 days between their birthdays and there is no way that one could get a skate board and not the other.
I would like to get a halfway decent board (ie NOT the one from ARGOS for £4.99 from which the paper comes off apparently ), but not spend 50 quid each for something that they may or may not take to.
So, is there something OKish available for 20-30 pounds each ?
Ta for any advice pointing me in right direction .

My two both have ones that DH spotted in Asda so I reckon about £10 or so? maybe £15?

They haven't had masses of use yet (Chr pressies) so cannot answer for their durability, but they look pretty good [what do I know though emoticon]

Thanks for that, Clary. ASDA had not even occurred to me, but I will have a look.

Any other ideas out there?

DS1 had a go on an older friends v old and tatty skateboard today and had a whale of a time! This had been a £5 bargain from Woolworths a few years ago, sob!

Has anybody here firsthand experience with the skateboards from Argos? There seem to be a couple of reasonable ones there, or not...?

"Satchel Skateboard" has a good review on Amazon and says from age 5 - is just under £6 and free postage.

we got the 'sportacus' one from Toys R Us for ds2's last birthday, he's also 5. He copes with it well, it doesn't go too fast and it is a good size for him. six months on he's still got ambitions bigger than his actual talent but loves it!

btw, no way did we pay £29 for it... money off vouchers? I got it online
