Good car seat for age 4 upward?

Hi, I've only got a horrible little booster seat for ds1 at the moment and would really like something more substantial/safer as I never feel he is quite secure, it moves around a lot etc.

Can anyone recommend a good seat that isn't hugely expensive? Will use for ds2 in a few years as well but he's got a Britax first class for now.

Thanks x

Hi Flightattendant27, having gone through extensive research recently for the same stage carseat for my DS, I plumped for the Jane Indy Isofix, it was about £100 from Babyworld. But there were loads of cheaper ones (non isofix) out there, particularly in Halfords, ToysRus and Kiddicare sales. I read a while ago that the cost of the car seat was irrelevant as all carseats have to under go the same rigorous testing regardless of cost. Does that help?

Ruby that was the other Isofix I looked at. I think they have had a recent fabric design change and the older style ones are cheaper.

Oh thankyou Superglue and RR, that's great - had considered an evolva 2-3 but not sure if we can use isofix in our car? It's an 07 fiesta.

I will look it up on the britax site.

We have a Britax evolva 123 for ds1, it is fab and will last a good while as he is only 2 at the moment.

This one's a bit of a bargain! Britax Highliner
