New buggy - jane energy???

Hello, have dd soon to be 2 and the old (but fab) maclaren quest is ready to fall apart (had it with ds now 6!). The only downside to these is I would like her to be sitting a little higher up and a friend recommended the Jane energy. I can only see these online and haven't been able to try one out so just wondered what other MN's thought. My main concern is as I am only 5ft1 the handles are slightly higher than the Mac-any other shorties found this a problem? Thanks

i've had one and they are lovely. it's a fair bit bigger than the quest though.. .more like a maclaren techno size-wise
I am 5'8 and it was nice height for me, so I guess maybe a bit too tall for you?

I have a Jane Energy and it is fine (I am 5ft4) in that I don't have too much trouble with the height.

The only issue I have with the stroller is that the clip to keep the pram together when it is folded up is a bit faffy and isn't quite the one-touch, kick-up and go it is meant to be..

We were able to see it in all its glory before we bought at a largish independent shop ...

agree, clip is really crappy

We have one and the clip is useless - if you don't hold it out when the buggy folds then it latches on to random bits and can be difficult to free.

It is pretty tall, I'm 5'5" and find it a bit of a strain after a long time pushing. It also folds very long, so is a bit of a fag to get in the boot of our Audi (A3 - like a Golf). However the seat is high, reclines nicely and the wheels have suspension - so DD was always comfy in it. It doesn't tip over with a couple of bags on the handles either.

The other thing I was annoyed about was that I was looking for a lightweight buggy. The weight they advertise it at 5Kg-ish is actually the chassis weight i.e. minus the wheels, seat, covers etc. When I weighed ours it was over 7Kg - I was a bit miffed!
