Anyone recommend a cheaper alternative to Cleanse & Polish

Have used Cleanse & Polish after seeing the reviews here on Mumsnet. I thought it was really excellent. However, it is quite expensive and I wondered if anyone could recommend a slightly cheaper alternative?

Thanks

tesco bnatural range do something very similar and it's only a couple of quid

catMandu · 13/02/2009 11:26

there was a post a few weeks ago, someone had found something in Boots that was similar and less expensive, you might find it if you search.

The Tesco one is very highly perfumed so I stopped using it. There is a Boots version apparently but I haven't tried it.

stripeytiger · 13/02/2009 11:44

Thanks for those replies. Anyone know what the Boots one is called?

I've just started using C&P and I LOVE IT. I only use one pump twice a day so the pump I have should last ages, so value for money wise I think it's pretty good.

I used a similar Tesco one a few years ago, from their Skin Wisdom range (do they still sell that?). It was like the Eve Lom one though, in a pot. Quite waxy and with a muslin cloth. It was ok but nowhere near as good as C&P.

I have sensitive and spot prone skin (great combination!) and normally new face washes etc leave me blotchy, tight skinned and itchy when I first use them but C&P has been a godsend. No redness, fewer blemishes and less dryness. It is fab

I have started using olive oil with a muslin cloth. My skin hasnt been this good in ages, and its really cheap and great for sensitive skin.

the Johnsons clean & clear oil-free one is quite good too, so long as you use it with a muslin

catMandu · 13/02/2009 12:16

Boots Botanics cleansing balm is v similar to C&P, but cheaper and usually on a 3 for 2 offer or some such thing.
