they are USELESS. Stick to Photobox which is a Mumsnet partner and if you click through from here, MN get a commission.

Have posted before about the photobooks of DN's Christening ordered on 21 November for Christmas gifts - how they never showed up, how they said they didn't expect increased demand in the run up to Christmas(!), how they claimed their machine was broken, how they promised and failed to deliver time after time, how you have to call them on an 0870 number for which you pay for the privilege of hanging on for AGES.......

I didn't tell you about how they sent a proforma email in January telling me my order would be available for collection on 01/12/08 from a store which went into administration and shut in December; or how they claim that the order was actually sent out to me at last on 15 January and "must have been lost in the post" (surely the lowest excuse of the bad e-tailer) and how I can go in a reorder after 25 February if I like - like I would go near their site again!?!

Please, please, please give them a wide berth. They are not to be trusted. Turns out they are now owned by Truprint, who coincidentally, way back when, lost a roll of film we had taken at our wedding and on honeymoon and sent us a new film as compensation - nice - really made up for it! You'd think I'd learn, wouldn't you!

In case it's not clear: say no to Snapfish (whatever offers they try to lure you with) and get thee to Photobox who never let you down (and if things aren't quite right with a Photobox order, they go the extra mile to put it right).

Here endeth the rant - thanks for letting me get it off my chest.

PS Snapfish NO, Photobox YES

On the whole I find them ok but a few mugs we had from them are dreadful quality compared to equally priced ones from BONUSPRINT.

Thanks for this - I was going to place an order. So useful to know.

How good is the quality of prints ordered online from Photobox or other similar sites.
(I have loads of photos that I've never printed - trouble with digital cameras is the quantity!!)

Photobox are great quality - you get 40 free prints when you first sign up - so it costs nothing to give them a try (and no I don't work for them - I just appreciate good service that bitmore when I've received such bad service elsewhere).

Good to know! Thank you.

Oh no. I have used Snapfish a lot over the last couple of years or so and have never had a problem yet. the individual shots and the photobooks have all been excellent, turned up on time and been very impressed.

Hopefully it is just a one off. Doesn;t sound good.
