Micralite Toro Vs M&P Ziko Herbie...?

I'm trying to figure out which pram/pushchair to go for new baby in June. I want rear/front facing in pushchair mode but don't want to spend too much. The Ziko Herbie is currently reduced to 275 but I also like look of the Micralite Toro we saw at Mothercare. Does anyone have experience of both, are either any good, or should keep looking??

The Micralite only faces front with the seat unit on. It will face you only with the carrycot or carseat.

oh. no.

so is the ziko herbie any good?

I really like the Toro but its not for everyone. The carrycot is lovely, very sturdy and can be used instead of a Moses Basket. Can also take the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat. The pushchair seat doesn't rear face as LBOT has said, but it is lovely and comfy, very supportive and lays flat or very upright which is great for toddlers. With the hood back you can see them very easily.

I'm really happy with my Toro.

It's really easy to fold and to push and DS looks really comfy in it.

Is this your first baby? I think the ziko only takes mamas and papas car seats, which are really crap. Much better to get a maxi cosi or britax

questions2008 · 08/02/2009 22:02

yes this is my first, i didn't know M&P car seats were crap? although yes the ziko only fits the 2 car seats they have. oh why is this so complicated?!?

personally i would get the ziko. i think its much better value. i had a toro and couldn't get on with the strange wheels. m&p fabrics are lovely and plush for new babies the carry cot will be lovely for the first few months then you have nice rear facing seat for later.

do you want to use as a travel system? i much prefer babies flat on their backs in carrycot and find car seats so heavy to carry that i always left mine in car anyway!

good luck with your choices it is so hard to choose.
