Maxi cosi summer cover - do you have one?

We have just brought our daughters new car seat, is a tobi, although not using it just yet - but she is such a messy madam - have been looking at the summer covers as been recommended by my sil, so how well do they fit? can they pull them off when sitting in it? also the colours aren't very exciting - navy, aqua or cream - any idea if you could dye something like this that is towelling? thinking of dying in the washing machine? although dont want to buy a cover for £19 and then ruin it!
thanks so much

We've got one and it's been great!

Fits really snugly, in fact it's a bit of a fiddle to get on but it fits as well as the normal cover and in the same way really.

It is made of towelling so I guess you could dye the cream one but why would you want to bother really?

I would say it's worth every penny

Just that there is one on ebay locally to me which would save me about £5 on it but is it cream! can't seeing it being very practical? Also just a bit dissapointed in the colour choices! we brought a black car seat so can be used if we have another, but would have loved a coloured one! in all fairness probably wouldn't get round to dying it!

And what if the dye rubbed off onto her clothes with the sweat, yuk, stick with cream.

I would wash it repeatedly afterwards! I have dyed lots of clothes and never ever had colour rub off!!

I bought one last summer for your Tobi carseat and I can honestly say that my ds doesnt sweat as much in his seat now. The covers are very well fitted and it also stops the carseat covers from being bleached by the sun. They are also so much easier to take off and wash rather than the whole carseat covers.

I would recommend buying one

We have one for the Tobi and it's fab. It fits very well, easy to remove for washing(mine are in the wash at the mo as dd2 was sick in the car). I bought mine more for protecting the seat than the non-sweatiness in the summer, but my son also has one on his Rodi and he says it's loads comfier than the normal car seat cover.

As mumto3boyz has said they are also good for stopping sunbleaching, especially if you have a black seat - my Rodi had suffered quite badly from this before I got the cover.

I have aqua on the Tobi and it looks really nice.

I have just bought one in an aqua colour - it looks great and easy to fix. I got it off ebay - Formby Prams - Item number is 370152468054 and it is a Buy It Now - very quick delivery!

Just need to wait for the summer to use it!

Just wanted to update that we got the summer cover for our Tobi in cream and have dyed it purple in the washing machine and it looks fab!! Will look at getting one for our cabrio as it has a girly cover and want to keep it for number 2!!
