dualit cage thingy

can anyone tell me what advantage is there to having this thing? if you put a sandwisch in to toast it doesnt heat the inside unless you burn the outside - so whats it reason for being and £15.95 extra i think?

We got a set of these with our dualit toaster and I've never been able to work out how to use them either. If you put filling in your sandwich such as cheese it all drips out the bottom!

It is good for putting things that are too thick for the toaster bit eg currant buns, crumpets etc as you can squash them into the cage and then slot it in.

Oh that would make sense! No more picking bits of mangled bun out with a knife then!

Buy a Toaster Bag from Lakeland instead. Fits nicely in the fat slot of a DUalit toaster (with a bit of squishing once your sarnie is inside the bag)

To make perfect tosatedcheese (or anything sandwiches) ina dualit cage jsut butter teh outside of the bread as well - then it sorts of fries gorgeously instead of burning
