Lego star wars for the DS - any good?

Is it any good? Are there lots of instructions to read? Can you stop and save where you are at any point or do you have to reach certain checkpoints?

I think you have to reach the end of a level before saving. Some of the levels are long and hard.

We have it on the wii (guess the same?) and ds who is 9 is always complaining that I make him get off before he has finished a level.

I don't think there are many written instructions.

Yes me too. I struggle to get ds off it without complaints..

I loved it, played it loads. You can't actually die, since you're made of lego you just rebuilt and carry on so no re-starting of levels iyswim.

You do have to clear a level before saving, it is then easier as you can play in free mode, meaning you can pick your character, you have more characters you can use on the way so it's easier. I would open the levels up for dd then she could just play through them as she wanted rather than having to follow a particular story. She can't do the driving levels very well though but she is 6.

DS (age 7) loves it and has it for XBox and Nintendo DS
It is annoying that the save can only be done at the end of a level.

Ds will be 7 in 2 weeks so it's a present idea for him.

I find the Complete Saga DS game much better than the Original Trilogy DS game.
