hi guys,
anyone know if backpack carriers can be taken on a plane as hand luggage?
got a 12mo dd, and am considering taking a back pack carrier on holiday (skiing) with us instead of a pushchair.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

A soft sling would be a lot better in a cold climate than a backpack as the baby is held tight against you, and stays much warmer. It's also easier to balance yourself with them.

TBH, its cheaper to buy a second hand sling, then sell it on afterwards than to hire a sling. IME, a MeiTai is much easier to deal with over winter clothing than an SSC, as your sleeves get all rucked up getting the straps on.

Mei tai. Works as well/better than a soft structred carrier and it folds up to very very small.
If not a patapum is a lovely well made and very good cheap ssc
