BRIO / GLOBAL BEDSIDE COT

Hi,

I'm desperately trying to find a Brio / Global Bedside Cot.

There were only a couple I could locate - both in the Manchester area, which is a bit too far to drive from London and the courier would charge at least £150 to have it delivered.

Is there anyone out there looking to sell one?

Alternatively, I'd appreciate if you could recommend a bedside cot (ideally, with the side going up and over, rather than under the cot - do these exist?!). Also, it would be nice to have the regular drop side function for when we're ready to use it as a regular cot.

Thanks!!!

No idea about the Brio, I know it isn't made any more so you might be hard pushed. I have the mothercare one and it is great so far. The side goes under which is not what you would prefer but I like that as then I can pop her in her cot during the day without having to climb all over my bed trying not to wake her!

horsemadgal · 03/02/2009 17:09

I think only Mothercare and Cosatto do them now, but sides go under the cot.
I managed to get a Mothercare one locally from eBay, got to keep checking though.
Mamas and Papas used to do a fab one that had a bolster to put in the gap. Not sure why none of them are doing them now.

I used an arms reach co-sleeper, which was great.
It looks more like a travel cot.
If you google it you will be able to see if you fancy it.

I have a cossatto one, as i couldnt get a brio one two years ago, it is ok but the side going underneath is a pita if baby naps in the day and you want the side up, when i had dd i didnt have enough room to push cot back to put side up again

elk4baby · 09/02/2009 11:32

Thanks for that shakespeare!
However, that is a bedside crib, rather than a cot. A crib is much smaller and will probably not last past 6months.

I have a global bedside cot but my DS2 slept in it again last week for the first time in more than six months (now as a very low bed), sigh. I fear he understood the word "flog". I'm too far away from you as well, so carriage would be too much.

Mine's just over five years old and was £150 new at the time, IIRC. Spending that much on a courier would indeed be bats!

elk4baby · 09/02/2009 12:25

Hi ThingOne! Where exactly are you located? If it's within reasonable distance from London, the courier charge might not be as much as from Manchester...

elk4baby - I have one of these if you're still looking. I was planning to list it on ebay over the coming week or so as I understand they're not made anymore so have a rarity value to them. Do get in touch if you're interested. I live in London.

MrsFogi · 26/02/2009 23:12

Sorry should have been specific - a global bedside crib is what I have (I searched heaven and earth to find one when dd was born as it was just what I wanted).

minibeep · 10/08/2009 09:57

i have two global bedside cots with sprung mattresses if you're interested.

emsyj · 04/01/2011 14:30

Bump - I'm after a bedside cot (preferably the Brio one or the Cosatto) in the north west if anyone has one for sale.
Thanks

RUPY · 18/01/2011 11:05

We are in london and have a global bedside cot for sale. Too far from you?

namechangesgalore · 21/01/2011 20:03

For any future posters, there's a company called Troll (weird name) which is doing the same design as the Global crib.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 21/01/2011 20:11

I think Kidsen do them. Am sure I saw them as bought my DD some Brio toys there for Christmas.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 21/01/2011 20:13

Pap. Out of stock. Blush

Hi
I am just inside the M25 to the south. I have a global bedside cot bed in great condition that my four year old has just finished with. I was planning to ebay it but you are welcome to buy it. It is the cotbed not the cot though - this means it is bigger so it lasts the child longer because it turns into a toddler bed. I can email you some photos if you like.

onadietcokebreak · 03/03/2011 06:59

How much would you be looking for with postage please?

RUPY · 08/03/2011 11:18

Hi, We have a global bedside cot. We are planning to see it on ebay too. I could send you pictures. If you are interested, where are you looking for it to be posted to?

onadietcokebreak · 08/03/2011 11:28

Hi Rupy

Will pm you x

mummy2rachel · 21/05/2011 23:28

ludandcatherine · 01/06/2011 21:19

Becky2011 · 26/06/2011 19:45
