Ours was from Argos. FANTASTIC. Can't link it as they don't sell it anymore. they are deffo worth the money.

Ours was from Argos too .... be careful though they are so good that I had moisture dripping off the walls! You don't need it on the high setting!

We cover the floor with towels and try to put it in the middle of the room to avoid wet beds etc.

Hi Eldon
We got one from Argos too. Never had a problem with making everything damp, just don't point it at the wall. Can't see the same one on ARgos website, but it was just a cheap one, looks like a teapot and the steam comes out of the spout

Thanks, I'll check out Argos

Hi Eldon
In order to maintain the optimum humidity in the room without causing problems with damp you need a humidifier with a humidistat. It's like a thermostat on your central heating system but instead of controlling on temperature it controls on humidity.

Also avoid the cool mist ultrasonic types. Buy a steam unit. Here's a steam humidifier with a built in humidistat. Also quite cool blue and red lights which my boy loves.

The ultrasonics will raise the humidity but will spray all the minerals from the water into the air to be breathed in or fall as dust in the room. This is the same stuff that forms limescale in your kettle.
