I want an A4 folder that I can out loose leafs in, diary pages, plastic wallets, nice colour-coded tabs etc.... my whole life really, to help me get organised at work.

Best to make one myself or are there lovely filofax-type ones out there that aren't too expensive?

oOOoh i'd like one of these!

I'm listening and a watching to see what they come up with.

Bumping as I've been looking too, but can't even find an A5 ringbinder to make my own basic version. Anyone?

SimpleAsABC · 02/02/2009 18:56

Tesco had a5 binders!

franklin covey planners are very nice but pricey.

How about that one? Not A4 but looks really funky!

SimpleAsABC · 03/02/2009 16:04

I have one like this and it's too small

Oovavu · 05/02/2009 19:09

arh, shame... thanks for the links. I'm so sad that I'm actually looking forward to going through the links for the franklin covey planners and building my own - Not that I'll be able to afford it but I can dream...

How annoying. Have found some organisers made by Collins but the A4 ones are all black and boring. The alternative I spose is to get a black one and customise it

Remind me to set up my own business creating gorgeous planners for girls.

Ohhh Oovavu, I'd be one of your customers!
That franklin covey website - wow. I think I want what you want but in A5. Got a filofax for birthday last year but was small (A6). I have experimented with so many filing/planners as a teacher (new start every term )

i just want a notebook. with a diary in it. and maybe a couple of sections. and one of those plastic envelopes. um... and that;s prob it. spiral bound. slightly smaller than A5 I reckon (C5?) And not billions of pounds.

come on, invent something!

Oovavu · 05/02/2009 20:16

I'm a teacher too. I want A4 so I can put all my planning pages, diary pages, memos, plastic wallets and crap like that.

The FRanklin covey website has annoyed me a bit really as the options are too small to study in detail and I can't get the combination I want (but probably a good job seeing as the binder plus inserts would ahev probably topped £100 )

I need to get to a very big stationery shop and have lots of time to mooch. RIGHT, If it doesn't snow too much tonight, I'm off to the nearest mega shopping centre. I'm on a mission

Oh yes, am SAHM now. A4 if you have proper stuff to do (I just want to make lists. lots of lists.)

I once found a nice slim A4 ringbinder which worked v well for a term. tore sheets from a teacher planner and hole-punched them (and the register/marking ones)

oh, i love stationery.

Oovavu · 05/02/2009 20:55

I know. I think it's a illness. My heart actually beats faster when I go into paperchase

troutpout · 05/02/2009 21:06

ooh stationary porn!

Oovavu · 06/02/2009 10:29

Think now that might be the answer - get a proper nice ring binder - you can get some with fastenings now can't you and then buy some A4 filofax or similar inserts with diary pages and pockets and stuff.
