Do you have a good pencil sharpener?

We have tonnes of pencils, the little manual pencil sharpeners never last very long. There are lots of electric ones for sale, which one is any good, for both colour and hard pencils?

I have a metal manual one- it is excellent and has lasted years!

Me too. Metal, desk-mounted, with a winding handle. Came from Rymans. You can adjust the degree of sharpness for coloured (nice rounded tips) or graphite (sharp as a needle!)

I asked for it for Christmas last year. My mother thought I was completely barmy, but humoured me and bought it. I love it.

Can you stick your head in on the book swap thread - squilly hasn't got a book and we're not sure if lost in the post or still with you

I was watching Starsky and Hutch, too when I posted, not a complete saddo . My mother had a pencil sharpener exactly like Smithagain said, and it lasted for years, too. Okay, I will look out for it. TA.
