bugaboo cam help needed!

Okay, I ordered a 2nd hand bugaboo cam off ebay which came today (Yay!!) and looks wonderfull

However, have a few questions as we don't have an instruction manual, just a dvd which appears to be a cameleon catwalk show accompanied by funky music

Have put it all together okay, but whats the dangly thing on the handle bar for?! It'sbout a foot long and doesn't seem to attach to anything, just hang there. Not that it's doing ant harm, just looking sily! Can I cut it off?

And on the carry cot theres 2 'clippy' things on either side (sorry, my english language skills clearly aren't up to scratch!) which don't seem to come off, or clip into anything. Do they just hang there too?!

The dangly thing from the handlebar is a wrist strap so the bugaboo doesn't fly off on it's own on a slope (never used mine!) don't cut it off it will devalue your bug.

The 2 dangly things are the side straps when in pushchair mode, their should be pockets on the side of the carrycot to pop them into.

How's the folding and unfolding of the chassis going

Can you use the carrycot in pushchair mode then? Ithought the seat unit was for that- clearly time for another dvd catwalk show!

Have not done anything myself yet tbh... am sitting here barking instructions at dh and making myself useful by discovering what dangly things are for! Am now worried to have a go!

no you don't need the lap belt side belts when in carrycot mode so you pop them away until it's in pushchair mode with the seat unit.

for the handle dangly bit you thread the strap through the loop at the very end to make a large adjustable loop to pop your hand through.

Okay... Emergency!

One of the waist straps (the dangly ones attached to the frame) is snapped! So it doesn't lock in properly and doesn't feel very safe

Can you buy new ones, or order them from bugaboo?

Yes you can order from bugaboo (I've heard of other people doing this)
