I have recently bought a Gap fleece for DS's friend who tuns 3 in April. I took Size 3 as he is fairly slim. Can I take that Gap size 3 = 3-4 years old or is it more 2-3 years old?
Thanks

Yeah, Gap tends to be small. I always buy a size bigger.

I second that! Gap is very small sizing. Would definatly go at least one size up.

FruitynNutty · 27/01/2009 14:32

Definitely big!
oh you mean for children? oh well then small definitely small

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/01/2009 14:33

Really small - dd is 21 months and is only just fitting in Gap size 3

paddingtonbore · 27/01/2009 14:34

yup - weirdly they seem to size big in adults clothing, while the children's wear is cut small.

Gap size very big - I am only a UK size 10 in there. The trousers are generally way, way too big for my dds around the waist but to get small enough on the waist are far too short. Dd2 was wearing an age 6 to 7 Gap top last year, aged 11.

But the children's polonecks have teeny tiny head holes.

1 size smaller.

cremolaismydarling · 27/01/2009 14:38

small for kids( THINK LONG TALL KIDS)
confusing for adults as not an actual size but XS S M L XL ETC
