Are Nuby cups actually any better than bottles?

A friend recommended these Nuby No Spill Cups as the only non-leaking cup that it's easy to drink from. But, with them having soft spouts I can't help wondering if they are actually any better then bottles for little mouths.

Anyone got any idea?

We have used them as DD can drink herself from them - we had tried the other sippy cups and she just couldnt do it, but straight away used these ones - after a few weeks she was able to use the other ones we had - maybe she would have done this anyway though! she does prefer these though so very interested in how they are for teeth!

i had these v.lovely for babies that won't use normal cups but the spouts went really quickly the non spill bits tore so quickly leaked everywhere.

i had one, it leaked a lot

Ah, thanks! I certainly don't fancy having to buy new cups all the time. If they're going to leak in no time anyway there doesn't seem much point in using them in the first place...

Are there actually hard, non-spill sippy cups that it's possible to drink from?
