Returning flatpack furniture to Argos after assembled - do they accept?

We have just spent and hour and a half assembling a glass display cabinet and the flipping glass door won't shut

Cos it's glass we don't want to force it but I can't see how it's ever going to fit anyway so no point. It's cheap crap and I don't think we could have done any better at putting it together so not our fault. I just want to get rid of it.

Does anyone know if Argos will accept a return once it's been assembled? If they do will they expect us to disassemble it?

Or will they blame it on our assembly skills?

try asking Argos

Disassemble it and take it back.

Take pictures of the door not shutting and say it's faulty.

Ikea took back a book shelf that I had assembled, but took back disassembled. Nothing wrong with it, but got 30% re-stocking charge deducted.

Taking pictures is a good idea Ilovemydog, I will do that.

Purepurple - I had thought of that but their phone lines are only open til 5pm at weekends, so I posted hoping someone could put my mind at rest (thought I was going to loose the money spent on it if they wouldn't take it back).

So I rang this morning at they will give a refund and collect for us (we will need to disassemble though). But I will take pictures in case there is any comeback.

Thanks for posting.
