lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:15

waste of money......that nappy bin thingy, someone gave me one with dd1.
they stink and its not that i lived in a huge house and the bin was miles away, just clean the lovely little botties put smelly nappy in sack then walk to bin and dispose.....hardly hard work.
bottle warmers....take far to long....use a jug.

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 22:16

Hope Soupy is having a laugh and not getting angry as lucykatie is obviously smiling.

gingerbear: I am half frog. My mum is French.

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:18

gribbet...are you a warm frog or are you dealing with it?

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:20

anyway.....all this negativity.....wHATS THE BEST BABY THING YOU HAVE GOT?

OOPPs sorry caps lock..

hatsoff · 05/04/2005 22:22

pmsl at this thread. I discovered that these wipes warmers existed a bit back and was truly horrified. Gingerbear - do you not see a certain irony in someone who sees a baby-wipe warmer as totally ott but at the same time makes their own camomile and wotsit rinse . I suppose at least you;re not handing over £25 to some company hell-bent on squeezing every penny they can out of us.

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 22:23

I am a hot frog.

Cos I is a tropical tree frog.

LK: You would be required to start a new thread for that kind of thing. You should know better. Is your heating on at home or have you turned it off for Summer ?

hunkermunker · 05/04/2005 22:25

LK, I use a baby to warm up all those things. MUCH cheaper

gingerbear · 05/04/2005 22:27

we need a toungue-firmly-in-cheek emoticon methinks, huh Lucykate?
hub - ah hah! explains it.

OP posts:
lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:27

my heating is on, not only do my dds need a warm bottom when being changed i too need warm hands etc......heating off, how dare you.

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 22:27

In a similar vein to the home-brew baby wipe tea, the other day I boiled and blended lettuce for my tadpoles !!!

We have freezer bags in plastic that you pour / fill. So I froze my mix. Each morning, the luckiest tadpoles in the world now dine on lettuce sorbet.

I was going to heat their pond water so it was 'just right' but then thought sod it, they're only bloomin tadpoles... but now I feel bad... anyone found a tadpole heater ?

gingerbear · 05/04/2005 22:29

hatsoff, I am a treehugging museli knitting ironic cheapskate (and DD came out in a rash when I first used babywipes)

OP posts:
lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:32

you are a very bad tadpole mummy....they need a tadpole heater immediatly.

also please vary the diet and warm gently before giving it to them.

any info on any kind of warmer for us gadget warming lovers please post a thread....soon.

need to send cash to companys which are bleeding me dry.

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:33

i love tree huggers.....they are warm and friendly people......like warm.

HelloMama · 05/04/2005 22:38

no, this is the ultimate in 'how much money can we make you spend on utter shite'. PMSL....

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 22:38

Will someone please tell lucykatie that I am, ahem, a man ?

Get it: hub2dee - that's not a bird called Dee on her second husband.

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:39

hub2dee.....sorry.

your a bad tadpole daddy then....

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 22:41
Grin
lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:41

lol....saw this today at freinds house and yeah i agree on this one....what a waste.

also in this book is a mesh type bag which you would put a biscuit in and kiddies then suck.....yuk....makes me gag.

hunkermunker · 05/04/2005 22:44

hub2dee, you could try wearing y-fronts, since boxers are meant to cool tadpoles down.

Now have a vision of you stuffing mashed lettuce down your pants - pmsl!

hatsoff · 05/04/2005 22:44

hellomama - that is fan-bloody-tastic. GB - how many have you got? DD1's bum only ever met with water and cotton wool (and organic home made food, washable nappies etc). By the time DD2 arrived I didn't have the energy. I guess that makes me a lapsed crappy tree-hugger. DH also went out and bought a big car. But now I have a wormery so I guess that's something...

hatsoff · 05/04/2005 22:45

just re-read my post and realised it sounds like I smeared organic home-made food on dd1's bum

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:48

lol....yeah it does.....could be worse.

does organic food treat nappy rash?

PrettyCandles · 05/04/2005 22:49

I also thought the wipes-warmer was utterly ridiculous, until I realised that my ds was crying during nappy-changes because he hated the cold on his bum! But being a cheapskate I just dunked the wipe (or cotton wool) in some warm water. Kept ds happy, and saved me some cash. I wouldn't like to keep wipes warm...somehow feels unhygenic...like they might ferment by the time you got to the bottom of the box. Yuck.
