Ta, gingerbear!

hunkermunker · 05/04/2005 10:24

hub2dee - a heated diaper bag?!! Words cannot fully convey my disgust at this product. Anyone considering buying one should bury themselves under their own patio pronto. Dontcha think?

eidsvold · 05/04/2005 10:30

i find just having the wipe sout on the side works wonders too seriously though - it really does not get that cold here to need it

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 10:37

lucykatie, can you clarify what you have ?

(Ignore these old fishwives).

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 15:41

a baby wipe warmer....my view is when dd2 was newborn and waking in the night, i had to change nappy, and in my opinion who would wamt a cold baby wipe on the bum at 3am....not me, so why should my dd? its bad enough waking up at an ungodly hour let alone slapping a wet wipr on ya cheeks.

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 21:17

Go on then, fishwives.... flame her

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 21:34

ha ha ready to be shot at dawn by these opinionated fools.

guess what....i use jars of baby food too....aaaahhhhhh.

i am the worlds worst mother its official.......so sue me.

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 21:43

Silence is golden.

lucykatie... I think the fishwives have taken their teeth out and gone to bed.

yeah i think you are right...must be hard work going on and on and on all day to other people.

oh well, was up for a battle but will go and see dh instead...ah must check the baby wipe warmer is switched on first.

may check out the website for that fab warming bag!

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 21:49

hi lockets, yeah they are good, a little pricey, got mine for £25, but it depends on how you feel about them really.
it did stop the shock of the cold baby wipes in the middle of the night, but i am sure the radiator trick works just as well.

all the ladies which have an opinion on them should get up in the middle of the night and put a cold baby wipe on their backsides, then be expected to go back off to sleep.....soundly.

gingerbear · 05/04/2005 21:51

Oi hub, stop stirring
This thread was meant as a light hearted follow-on from the 'Whats the worst thing you ever bought' thread. Sansouci mentioned something about 'whatever next, Baby wipe warmers?' and I thought, must be a joke. To my amazement when I googled up came that page!

Baby wipe warmer

Very clearly remember seeing an ad for one of these when I was newly pregnant and even in that must-buy-ickle-diddy-baby-things-until-my-wallet-bleeds hormonal state was able to recognise a rip-off when I saw one

GeorginaA · 05/04/2005 21:52

Hmm... never needed one. Was worried about eczema and related illnesses in our family so was paranoid about stuff on their skin. Warm water and cotton wool on their bots until they were sleeping through - a wipe warmer would have been an incredible waste of money for us

hub2dee · 05/04/2005 22:01

Moi ? oursdegingembre... jamais.

Please would everyone put their teeth back in before speaking ? I'm covered in spray. It's gross.

gingerbear · 05/04/2005 22:03

bet you googled that translation didn't you hub?

OP posts:
lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:04

gingerbear....no it is not life,so deal with it.

not with a fab baby wipe warmer, why deal with something that just need'nt be?

here we go....

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:05

i love anything that makes my fab life even more fab.

hunkermunker · 05/04/2005 22:06

I used to drape the wipe over my leg so it warmed up, or use it cold. No way in the world was I going to spend money on heating wipes up!

snafu · 05/04/2005 22:08

Oooooh, you seem pretty intent on having an argument about it, lucykatie

SoupDragon · 05/04/2005 22:09

"users say the lid is crap and water condenses on the top and wipes go brown etc." Of course they go brown - you use them to wipe poo off ffs!

Lucykatie, Just because people think a product is a waste of money doesn't make them "opinionated fools"

lucykatie · 05/04/2005 22:10

i just thought....sod it...and got one.
i could afford it at the time and have not looked back.

really struggled for cash with dd1 so probably over compensating.

hunkermunker · 05/04/2005 22:10

What do you think is a waste of money, LK? Baby-related if poss
