Sling advice: newborn, mother with big norks

Any advice gratefully received!

I didn't have a sling with DS1 but fancy a sling I can (hopefully) breastfeed in. Thing is, I have big norks and wondered if there is a sling out there that might be suitable?

Hiya I have a celeb sling that I bought on ebay. ( they have an ebay shop) Love it. I also have big norks so it may suit you!!

loads of pics etc just type in "celeb sling"

good luck!

go for a wrap sling . the length of the sling will allow you to adjust it to give you room for your boobs and also to breastfeed.
I have one for sale if you are intrested

A stretchy wrap like a Moby, or a ring sling with an open tail like the EllaRoo should both work well

ThingOne · 22/01/2009 09:09

I'd go for a stretchy wrap like a moby, kari-me or hug-a-bub for the early months. You can feed in them if your baby is happy with that position. Mine didn't do lying down at all so I rarely managed to feed him in it but several of my friends have managed well.

Stretchy wrap or a ring sling, I have large norks and found a RS better as I could adjust more easily than a wrap but I have always been wrap challenged.
You definately need something that adjusts though, so not a pouch.

That's great, thanks for the advice. Mrsleroyjethrogibbs, thanks for the offer but I'm going to wait a little while longer before buying one as I'm only 24 weeks pregnant at the moment.

lol thats fine. I am only 25 weeks and my stash of slings is quite incredible

I am a G cup and have bf in a Close and a Kari me and still can at 7.5 months. I would say the Close is easier to get the hang of at first as it's so easily adjustable.

llareggub · 22/01/2009 11:57

littlelamb, thanks for that. I'm also a G cup!
