Hiya

I would like to use a sling for times when pram not needed or not able to use.

What reccomendations do you guys have?

Im not keen on the ones that wrap around with lots of material! Ive been looking at the freedom sling and premaxx sling, but only have one friend who has one (freedom)-she likes it!

Heard 'ring' slings are good, Is the freedom a ring sling?

I have a front baby carrier for when baby is abit bigger (3month ish)

Thanks for your help....

it it has 2 rings at one end that the fabric at the other threads through, then it is a ringsling.

Ring slings are great but IMO they are better for when your baby can sit up on their own so they can look around etc. My daughter more or less lived in hers for nearly two years - she's only just getting too big for it. Well, I say big. I mean heavy really. It's a Huggababy.

See here for RS info. I used mine from birth with DS - he could lie down and bf while I walked, be snuggled tummy to tummy and upright, and then when older go in a hip carry. Twas fab - I had an EllaRoo

I would have loved to be able to snuggle my daughter tummy to tummy but I couldn't do the Huggababy up quite tight enough. They said medium was the right size for anyone of an average height but in hindsight we should probably have gone for a small as I am quite skinny.

As the Huggababy is a closed tail RS it is a bit less versatile than an open ended like the EllaRoo - there you can adjust each rail independantly, and they are size independant

That is interesting. If I'm lucky enough to get pregnant again I might invest in a more adjustable ring sling.
