Bexie it does sound like it may need new bearings you can order them from practical pushchairs hope I think they carry that sort of thing in stock so not a 6 month wait like the basket - I still cant believe thats still not here it was ordered in July if I remember right !!!

Ohh Elmo pics please

Sal how much did you want for your Gecko and what colour is it you know thats one of the only pushchairs I regret selling!

just had a peek. but going to be a good girl and do housework first then play with before get kids.

colour and material is lush. more like the material you would get a nice waterproof jacket made of iykwim. pockets are changed. viewing hood changed, wheels changed and the handles are blooming stunning.

haven't took it out wrapper yet. no wonder price has gone up. they have definately spent more on the quality of build.

i say this. yet i may open it and think it's awful.

elmoandella · 23/01/2009 13:03

in the box with my mooncup there's also a load of freebie perfume samples and travel size lotions and shampoos

claret1980 · 23/01/2009 13:06

Been on ebay, nearly bid on a buzz! Would have to have the carrycot anyway so that would have been extra, think dh would have killed me!

If I was seriously going to buy one I would have to have the Techno XT sold or something like that. What do you think I would get for a 2007 Storm Techno, raincover, with either black or silver comfort pack? Got footmuff but could sell that separately.

BexieID · 23/01/2009 13:07

Thanks Mac, will get DP on the case. If Practicl Pushchairs don't have them i'm sure i'll be able to get them in Halfords! The wait for the bag is a wee bit annoying, but I guess if MB are going into liquidation, then that may be why i've not had it, lol.

I've got tortellini pasta and some mant pasta sauce for lunch (which i've left) and Tom just got upset as I won't let him feed me the manky sauce! Hes also jusr sudocremed one of his feet. Hate the smell of that stuff!

nicolamumof3 · 23/01/2009 13:08

here goes. new features

2 large pockets that are side by side. running whole length of back of hood. big enough to get raincover in one (and even close it over) and leave the other free for key/purse (leaving backet free too

huuuuuuge viewing window at rear.

new handles are same material as old one. with a smoother tecture. plus the have silver "neck brace" at bottom of handles. and the tips are silver with logo's. stunning handles imo.

raincover has been vastly improved. the bottom is a wipe down material for muddy feet. and the eyelets for hooking onto pushchair are on the matierial part (material on top too for this). this stops the fault the old raincovers had of bursting when you were wrestling to get them on and off the little knobs in the rain. raincover also has very small vents at top too which stop steaming up.

wheels are same size as xlr i would say. very large. and on the outside the hub is reflective which is very pretty. on the inside it's the standard maclaren full fascia hub with logo.

the harness is the new style on the xlr with the double pressure point. fab for toddlers as they can excspe from these ones. new logo's are lovely too.

all material is a very nice wipedown material similar to that of a good waterproof jacket. with a canvas type material on footrest with a plastic/rubber coating.

headhugger is large. and has various slots. could be used up to about 2yo. i'm only not using as ds who's almost 3yo will be too tall. however i could use with dd as goes right to the top of the seat.

luggage tag is off a very tough bendable rubber. and nice looking.

all in all. i'm very impressed. shame it wont get much use until ds goes to nursery and its just me and dd

ooooh can't wait to see pics when i get home from work. sounds so fabby and soooo much more luxurious than the standard grey. i wonder what the grey 09 techno's will be like?

elmoandella · 23/01/2009 15:13
