OP posts:
elmoandella · 20/01/2009 15:39

just seems to be sitting there doing nothing. walked to school today to get forms. it's so close i wont be needing a walking double to take elmo to nursery. only time i'll use it is for getting train into edi or glasgow. but tbh i would survive with powertwin for that.

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 15:49

got my zapp, and i......

LOVE IT! so light, nippy and lurve the colour!

it would be no good if your only buggy so maybe thats why people moan about it, as its got no lie back no where for shopping but its so light, easy to push with my lump in it, its the lightest pushchair i've got for him. i love the colour so bright its really funky, oh and yes it was bnwt! good old babyvalue im well impressed so will be keeping this one, may see if tate fits in it and then take it on hols as well as xt. I so badly need to sell both maclarens now!

elmoandella · 20/01/2009 15:51

nicola - are you planning on taking zapp on beach. it just gets grounded on sand. wheels dont move at all. you either end up dragging it backwards with front wheel up. or lifting it with 2 people

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 15:55

nope would only take out at night with us in case tate gets tired. its soooo small i really like it want a carry bag for it now. it does exactly what it says, small, compact and light.

JackJacksmummy · 20/01/2009 16:10

NO LUCK THE THE P&T mrsM

Just a bruised thumb lol

I'm beginning to think i might have to find some other way of opening it up. like unscrew a bolt. will see what dp suggests anyway, he'll be home in an hour or so

I've seen some diagrams of how to open a catch but it doesn't look like the same catch i've got

JackJacksmummy · 20/01/2009 16:10

ooooops sorry for the caps

elmoandella · 20/01/2009 16:11

make sure you get one of those wee neck things incase he falls asleep then and it'll be fine.

person who offered 120. i countered 210. they replied 150. i've now countered 199.

unless they are really really frigging close to 199 i think i will decline.just coz they were so bloody cheeky with 120.

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 16:21

they make you sick don't they elmo, i had offer for £80 yesterday on my mac so countered £85 heard NOTHING so frustrating, would have taken the £80 but with the fees wouldn't have left me with much, i've only used it twice and paid £135 for it!!

omg dp just said he really likes zapp! wonders never cease.

claret1980 · 20/01/2009 16:24

I think £199 is extremely reasonable. Chancers!

I'm thinking about that ziko. Might ask if they have the raincover then my buy it. If I do, I will list my Alpine XL on Ebay.

claret1980 · 20/01/2009 16:27

Damn! Someone got in there first! Should have bought before I went out.

elmoandella · 20/01/2009 16:53

i've still no response from person that offered 180 and i countered 210. but makes you wonder if they would actually be genuine buyers if you had accepted as dont even bother to have manners to decline or counter back.

MrsMagooo · 20/01/2009 17:15

Arrgghhh Elmo that's frustrating!!

Glad you like he Zapp Nicola that's 2 people I know who like them lol You can the travel bags on eBay usually

Looks at this girls - isn't it lush - P&T have got some major competition!!

elmoandella · 20/01/2009 17:27

ooooh i'm impressed its one piece fold too on main frame. wonder if you need to remove doubles to fold

MrsMagooo · 20/01/2009 17:40

Hhmmmmm quite possibly....I love my P&T but wished it rear faced - this is my ideal double!

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 18:02

i like that mrs.m! i really do like the zapp and its fitted so neatly into the understairs cupboard lol! i won't know its there!! i really lurve the colour so glad i didn't cxl and get the black one. i don't want the breen now either as i really like the strawberry, shouldn't lose too much on it even when i sell as used.

elmo tell me about it people are sooooo rude on ebay. no manners at all.

JackJacksmummy · 20/01/2009 18:04

woohoo i am a happy mummy

I was not being totally dumb!!!

The lady who had packed it up had done it so that the front wheel was not tyre side against the back break bar, it had the metal rod against it so there was too much pressure and the catch was not budging.

In the end, DP had to take the front wheel off (but not the standard way - he had to take the cap off and the split pin out) with that the pressure released and the catch easy to open.

Put it all back together and took it for a spin

Thanks for all the advice earlier

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 18:05

oh great jjmummy, so glad you got it sorted in the end, and there was a good reason for it, i hate things like that drive you nuts!!

so the lulu guinness mac is now...SOLD just waiting for payment on ebay. one down one to go then i can order my black mac!

elmoandella · 20/01/2009 18:09

neither of my bidders have even replied yet. ffs. i want a back mac

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 18:12

oh elmo i know so, so, so frustrating waiting to sell its so quiet atm. i bet my techno won't sell

MrsMagooo · 20/01/2009 19:00

Ah! Glad you got it sorted JJMummy

Glad you're liking the Zapp Nicola this is the basket I had on my Zapp, had one of these too Also had a cerise cow print Snunkie footmuff & bag on mine

Elmo that is soooooooo annoying waiting on offers - some eBayers drive me made!

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 19:04

im defo getting a basket for it, i do travel really light anyway, i don't take a changing bag even if out for day! i have two nappies and a pack of wipes and juice thats all i need. i like the look of the zip up baskets as well that go underneath as would be nice and secure.

got my paypal up to £111 so need to sell xt now so i can order black mac.

changer22 · 20/01/2009 19:07

Could I wade in here please and ask if any of you sell buggies on ebay? If so, which carrier do you use? I have a double Mountain Buggy that I'm thinking of selling and want to be able to send it as an option.

Thanks. Will leave you to your discussion...

MrsMagooo · 20/01/2009 19:07

Ooo haven't seen the zip up ones - have you got a link? Wonder if you can get one for the Buzz?

Have you any watchers on the XT?

nicolamumof3 · 20/01/2009 19:11

zip up basket mrs.m

changer, not sure for a MB as its going to be quite large? all the pushchairs i've sold have been within standard 120x60x60 dimensions that most carriers limit to.

2 watchers on xt only

MrsMagooo · 20/01/2009 19:26

Ooooo that basket looks fab Nicola!!

How long has the XT been on?

Chager there are some couriers on eBay who take oversized parcels - about £14.99 I think
