Parents of Invention Mei Tai Baby Carrier

Is this just the American version of the Mei Tai.

MIL is sending one over for me. I have a 7mo and her basic carrier is too tight for her. This one can also be used on the hip which is the main reason I want it.

Any ideas?

there are soooo many makers of Mei tai's . this is clearly one maker who has managed to make it into toysrus. you can use all mei tais or even wraps on your hip.
