I've seen someone using a backpack with reins attached and it looks like a good idea. I've looked on Amazon and there are loads of different ones. Could anyone advise which is the best and where thye bought it.

Cheers

The best kind imo is the little life one. I had a different kind, my friend got a little life and that looks much better. ALthough they just work the same! There is a good resale value of the little life ones too...

If you google little life it will bring up all the websites that sell them, thenyou just need to surf around to find the best price inc postage.

I looked at the little life ones recently. If you are buying online I think John Lewis is the cheapest as they don't charge postage.

This has reminded me to order one.

5inthebed · 18/01/2009 22:14

I think Toys R Us sell them as well. Defo on the little life.

gigglewitch · 18/01/2009 22:18

my dc also have the little life backpacks, and at 3 and 5 we still use them for hiking and rollerskating
we got them here

Jbck · 18/01/2009 22:44

Do they fasten around the front of the child? Otherwise wouldn't they just pull their arms out to get away. DD1 would have & I reckon DD2 whom I'm needing to get one for soon will definitely.

gigglewitch · 18/01/2009 22:51

they have two shoulder straps as a rucksack and a clip at the front - like the ones you fasten the front of a buggy with?
the parent 'handle' (because its sunday and i cant think of the right word) attaches to a metal clip at the top of the rucksack at the top of the childs shoulders. they really are a fab piece of kit

Jbck · 18/01/2009 23:05

Thanks GW will look at John Lewis.

amidaiwish · 19/01/2009 08:38

We got one for ds1 from a camping and hiking shop. Complete waste of money in our case - ds1 refused to wear it.
