Best pushchair for getting out of the car and putting the car seat on top?

We live out in the country and have to do the school run, 2/3 times a day.

When DC4 arrives in the summer, I am going to need to transport him/her from the car and walk the other 3 to the classrooms.

I have a number of pushchairs already so it doesn't need to be great. Just for the school run.

So a lightweight chassis, compatible with a Britax rock-a-tot, and possible to push one-handed if I need to hold hands with the next youngest to cross the road?

Don't know of any apart from Visio that is lightweight and can be used with the britax rock a tot.

Could you get a new car seat?

Graco Mosaic System
GrAco Mirage

Thanks mamadiva. I've just thought though, there will be Britax ones available which will take the car seat. Off to have a look...

I had a britax practical sport chassis

CarGirl · 13/01/2009 14:24

this is an older design but I'm sure the chassis will be very light and easy to use

this is the chassis I had

How about this?

CarGirl · 13/01/2009 14:35

Those ones are heavier to get in & out the car than just a chassis I should think

changer22 · 13/01/2009 20:18

Thank you. The links show just what I need - basically some wheels on which to plonk the car seat. I shall keep my eye on ebay for bargains closer to home.
