and now i really need them and cos of the new TT bottles i can't find them anywhere. i literally through them out about three weeks ago, in a fit of what i now realise was pre-christmas cleaning-induced madness. forgive me... i went too far.

i think they're like this, ish. if you look them up online they all seem to be for the really ugly bulbous bottles. gah. and i HAD THEM IN MY HANDS!!!

I used them for the ugly bulbous lovely roundy bottles and they look exactly like that. Do your olde worlde bottles have the same wide neck? They should fit then I would have thought.

Aitch · 12/01/2009 23:59

i just bought the bottles from boots today, they have a thinner neck, more like the old-fashioned tt ones. (i say old-fashioned... like from three years ago... [ancient])

they're so handy, aren't they?

Today? Ah well, you're buggered then so

They were soooo handy, I loved them. But alas, a quick google has thrown up nowt. Sorry. Looks like a little round tub for your powder...

mamadiva · 13/01/2009 00:07

I know the ones you mean.

But I have to say I live the CTN bottes they are so comfy to hold and are really nice and soft teats too.

mamadiva · 13/01/2009 00:10

I love not live obviously.

No where seems to stock them anymore just the new ones. They don't fit BTW.

Couldn't you take he bottles back and get the Closer to Nature ones? Much easier to find tubs fo, or you get the round one from Tesco or Avent not as convenient but...

Aitch · 13/01/2009 00:13

i've opened the boots ones. no, the closer to nature bottles give me the heebie jeebies for some reason. and i'm giving up bfing about now so what do i care whether they're close to nature or not?

och i'm so cross with myself, i'm fizzing.

LOL I never BF but they were the only bottles that didn't make my son throw up so we got them, I thought they were hideous but they are so comfy to hold.

It was the Boots ones we used to start with but they were just no use for us, do not ever put them near a microwave to sterilise or to heat they will crack or somehow manage to go all soft after beenon steam steriliser to they were all squishy but that was 2.5 years ago so hopefully have changed!

Can you just use the bigger tub thingy?

Aitch · 13/01/2009 00:25

oh really? gosh, it's funny you say that, i did take them out fo the dishwasher and think to myself that they seemed a bit, er, pliant... maybe i'll complain if they start to go?

OP posts:
mamadiva · 13/01/2009 00:28

I complained and gave them the bottles back and got full refund (all £10)~ LOL but still. I hoped they ahd changed that the same thing happened to my mum when she had bought some for my little sisters who were born 8 months before my DS so it seems to be an ongoing problem then.

Aitch · 13/01/2009 00:33

oh well, we'll give them a shot and then take them back. i really, reaaaaaaaally don't want the CTN ones. creepy.

i'm bumping this... really i'm bumping it so that someone will think 'oh I'VE got those laying around, i bought them by mistake in a wee baby shop and they don't fit my freaky CTN bottles... i could recoup my losses here'.

that's what i'm hoping.

LOL Hey Aitch still no luck then

wellbalanced · 13/01/2009 19:25

Why dont you just buy a tub that keeps 3 powdered feeds in seperate bits (its blue think its advent)

Aitch · 13/01/2009 21:14

i was looking at them in boots today, actually. they're ENORMOUS so they're actually worse than the little tupperware tub i'm using at the moment.

see the great thing about the tt ones is that they actually fit right in the neck of the bottle so they're impossible to forget and don't take up extra room.

HOW COULD I HAVE THROWN OUT THE ONES I HAD? HOW CAN ONE WOMAN BE SOOOOOO DIM?

Do you know when the new ones came in? I have some but don't know whether they're for the old type or not (I used them with Avent bottles cos we had an Avent steriliser given to us so just carried the tubs about seperate to the bottles iyswim)

Aitch · 13/01/2009 23:01

if they're compatible with the avent bottles then they're the old-fashioned ones...
