OP go online to JC Penny. I think they deliver to the UK. Last time I checked they had tons of nice stuff but that was awhile ago. The UK high street shops do not have much.

ninja · 11/01/2009 08:39

debenhams - reasonable 'designer' stuff

pramspotter · 11/01/2009 08:40

Nah I just checked. They don't have that much online at the minute. It might be worth checking them out anyway.

pramspotter · 11/01/2009 08:41

I was talking about Penny's not having much at the minute.

compo · 11/01/2009 08:41

debenhams if you can afford it

LostGirl · 11/01/2009 08:49

I agree, Debenhams do some lovely stuff but don't ever pay full price for it. They seem to have a sale at least once a month and with 20% off then it brings the price down to the Next/Mothercare range.

Kelix · 11/01/2009 13:49

uttamkids has some nice stuff but starts at 2-3 Good site for when shes a little older tho

PortAndLemon - OMG how beautiful!

compo - tried Debenhams but the store near me is a bit rubbish and I wary of buying online from there as the sizes are so varied. Had to buy DD a 18-24 Ted Baker jumper when she was only 11 months!

Going to try Zara, JC Penny and house of fraser. Never herd of Petit Bateau but will try there too.

Thanks for the links Heated. There are some lovley things in some of them

Off to try my luck at TK Max and Next (again) now but will more than likley order something online when I get home.

Thanks for the help everyone sure Ill find the perfect outfit now and probably end up buying her more stuff from some of these sites.

Any other suggestion or links much appreciated.

H & M have a few nice clothes, I have also found some nice clothes in matalan

Got dd2 (also 1) a nice red Velvet party dress from matalan for £12.

Heated · 11/01/2009 15:17

saggyhairyarse · 11/01/2009 20:42

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 11/01/2009 20:52

Sarah Louise label too, lovely dresses

ilovelovemydog · 11/01/2009 20:58

I get DD's clothes from:

  1. Hanna Anderson
  2. Frugi (sales only)
  3. Gymborree (my American Aunt sends stuff)
  4. baby gap (good for basics)
Spockster · 11/01/2009 21:05

Wait until your last baby is 3. Then you will see gorgeous baby outfits wherever you go: I drool in Mothercare these days. She will look edible in anything (or nothing...especially nothing!); I heartily object to the onsession with spending a fortune on kids; clothingbu (but I do admit a minor Boden sale habit, shhhh)

Spockster · 11/01/2009 21:13

PS just remembered cute stuff in Mamas & Papas, (though I have once posted that they are a load of crooks due to problems with a buggy...ho hum...)

Clary · 11/01/2009 21:21

I like Pumpkin Patch - nice bright colours eg orange and dark pink or unusual blues and turquoises.

Bargains at Sainsbury's but nice esp for this age group.

Boden sale always worth a look.

H&M is not bad for younger girls.

Gap nice too I believe tho not been in for yonks.

from Boden this is nice, or this is nice (I like the ice cream one) or, y'know this (latter two not in sale)

Pumpkin patch this kind of thin maybe?

Kelix · 11/01/2009 22:09

Love the dress from Pumpkin Patch and the Boden dress and Nikerbocerglory t-shirt from Boden too.

Thanks Clary.

Spockster - I think totally the opposite at the moment. The 3+ stuff I like but the younger girls I dont like as much. Am sure tho as soon as she is big enough to fit in 3+ I will change my mind and long for the littler clothes to fit. Its always the same

Lizziemum - Have bought a few things from Matalan but the one near me always seems to sell the same stuff. So you can get loads at the beggining of a season then nothing for about 3 months No H&M close by but may have a look online.

Thanks for suggestions everyone I did finally manage to get an outfit for her birthday from NEXT of all places! I was panicing a bit that even if I did manage to find something online it wouldnt arrive in time and DD would have to wear a binbag or maybe a pillowcase lol

Although with all these suggestions I feel a bit of a spending spree coming on. Expecially with all the sales on ATM May buy bigger sizes as she will grow into them eventually

Feel free to post anymore places its good to know where everone shops as I tend to get stuck shopping in one shop (Next)
