If anyone is looking to buy a silver cross halo for a newborn ....

Although it is advertised as being suitable from birth the maximum recline is only 150 degrees. You really need 170+ degrees for a newborn.

Just thought I'd let you know cos my friend nearly bought it and then decided to check with silver cross was the recline was.

Have never seen this pram before (not that I need another one!) but find it odd that it's not even on the Silver Cross Website yet??!!

If u bought your HALO from mothercare and it has a batch number 150209 150409 or 150509 it has been recalled because of faulty components. My granddaughter almost lost the top of a finger while sitting in her chair.

To my mind this is more serious than the McLaren issue which was about the chairs being folded (surely the adults responsibility?). Our accident happened while the chair was in normal use and was due to a faulty part. Both Mothercare and SX are not disclosing what the fault is and merely call it a 'small hazard' and 'minor hazard'. If they had seen our little one with her finger trapped they would not class it as such.

I had the halo and sol it on within weeks, the worst pushchair i ever had!
