A while ago there was a thread on sandwich bags which are reusable. I was going to do a search but thought it would be more useful to ask those who bought them - what were they like?

i got some sandwich wraps after reading threads on here. They are Wrap-N-Mat. cant remember site sorry.

Twink · 08/01/2009 16:49

We use these. They're great, and go in the washing machine. In between washes, they just wipe clean.

pushchair · 08/01/2009 16:51

Oh and they are great. I managed to melt the plastic backing on one by putting it in the tumble dryer by mistake! Still ok for use though. Lasting well.
here This is the site I used.

Brought some from www.re-wrap-it.co.uk/ - they are fab!

You can get two lots of snadwiches in - can be bit squashy but can be done!

The lady who sells theses is a Mum Netter and was very helpful when I contacted her to ask lots of questions before buying re-useable wrappers. We have several friends and collugues who have gone on to buy after seeing ours.

Much better than throw away wrappers and can be washed!

DontCallMeBaby · 17/01/2009 12:47

We have re-wrap-it ones - DH's would fit two rounds of sandwiches, DD's might, and mine certainly wouldn't. The size just seems to vary a bit randomly between designs - don't know if it's still the case but if you're very keen on getting two rounds in you might want to contact the seller and see which designs are bigger.

FWIW, DH's is 'Big Blue' (which refers to the check rather than the size of the wrap, but IS a big wrap), DD's is pink gingham and mine is the skull & crossbones.

NewAmazingBeginning · 18/01/2009 11:51

I need some of these.

Job for this week.

BionicEar · 18/01/2009 18:12

Oh all ours fit 2 round rounds of sandwiches and my DH has the skull & crossbones too. Might just be random - but the seller probably would be best person to ask.

troutpout · 18/01/2009 18:26

oh re-wrap it wraps are brill

We have had ours for over a year now and they have been through the washing machine loads of times. Then i just dry them plastic side out on the radiator.

mrsleroyjethrogibbs · 19/01/2009 08:34

wow this is intresting. I didnt know they existed what a good idea. I wrap dh's sandwiches up in greaseproof paper atm

NewApprehensiveBeginning · 22/01/2009 12:18

I have got my self organised and I am going to order some.

Are the ones from re-wrap the best ones for a 5 year old girl and a nearly 8 year old boy?

How do I clean them and how long do they last please?

TIA.

mooseloose · 22/01/2009 12:41

The pouch thing here looks good.

orangina · 22/01/2009 16:59

oooh, these look great. I am constantly re-using plastic sandwich bags.... will order some straight away I think.....

bran · 22/01/2009 17:16

NAB you clean them by wiping the plastic bit and occasionally bunging them into the washing machine with a clothes wash. I have a couple of re-wrap it ones that I use for DS and they're fab, they are skull and crossbones and dalmation pattern.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 22/01/2009 17:18

Would they also look after a teeny sandwich do you think? dd is in reception and has half a bap or a sandwich with one slice of bread. Could you secure it ok or do you think it would slip around? they are lovely and a really good idea.

BexieID · 22/01/2009 17:27

For £4.25 inc post, i'm going to get one (or two).

NewApprehensiveBeginning · 22/01/2009 18:31

Just ordered two to be going on with.
