Where will i find yellow girls school short sleeved polo shirts at this time of year

My dd2 has just changed schools and needs yellow polo shirts. Don't suggest... Asda or mothercare on line cos I've tried. Also don't suggest the national school wear shops cos I've bought three from them and at 4.50 PER shirt and at the rate my gorgeous 5 year old dd2 drops crap down them they're way too expensive!

If you can shrink a 9 yo sized one, here are some cheap ones.

frisbyrat · 08/01/2009 00:49

Or just machine dye some white ones?

savoycabbage · 08/01/2009 00:50

I used dylon to dye my white ones yellow when my dd changed schools mid year. I got dylon for machines from e-bay for 99p. It worked really well. I did her socks too!

Wills · 08/01/2009 00:54

Whilst I love the idea of shrinking I'm impressed with teh idea of dying - that's absolutely brilliant just kicking myself of not thinking of it. Thank you thank you thank you!

you can also order from m&s

gigglewitch · 08/01/2009 00:58

ASDA. Honestly. If you are having trouble where you are i really truly am happy to get you some and post 'em, we live near a huge wal-mart thing and they are still stocking them. They are £3 for a pack of two. And they have heaps. I bought ten packs of them in November (don't ask...please)
BTW I've got a 7yo size one, brand new in a packet on our landing - was going to go to charity shop, do you want it FFP?

mrspink27 · 08/01/2009 07:45

childrens warehouse

Tommy · 08/01/2009 07:46

John Lewis?

Wills · 08/01/2009 23:17

Gigglewitch - doing that would truely put you in the saintly category of mums, believe me. If you don't mind could I say a very big yes please! I'm going to renew my CAT, been meaning to for a while now just too busy with all the dramas my eldest sn dd1 is giving me! Could you get me 3 packets of 5 - 6 and two of 6 -7 and a massive yes please to one you've got already. My dd2 is extremely short (ah bless) but unfortunately also extremely broad so is normally into bigger tops (that look like dresses) long before she has the height to go with it. If you then bring them home and weigh them I can calculate postage (loads of ebaying) and make sure I defn cover postage and send you the money before you send to me. For someone to do something like you're offering I want to make sure you have money in hand etc. Also if it comes to less, keep it - and it also means I can send you petrol money etc. I'm really really blown away by the offer. Thank you thank you thank you. I'm starting to gush now aren't I?

OK my DC wear yellow polo shirts.

Try:

Adams
Tesco
M&S

PS if you need yellow summer dresses. Get them when you see them in April as they sell out VERY quickly!

UnfortunatelyMe · 08/01/2009 23:20

ooh I have the cheapest yellow dresses

seeker · 08/01/2009 23:26

I was just about to say that I used to get DD's from Woolworths...

gigglewitch · 09/01/2009 00:31

right wills stop gushing you are making a mess on the floor
I shall inspect asda uniform dep again on sunday and hope that they havent sold out since monday or whenever it was I was last there. Which apparently doesn't go for lightbulbs, it made the local paper that there were none left in the town
anyway, my email is on my profile, i dont have cat either, keep meaning to but erm.....

Turniphead1 · 09/01/2009 00:42

I get mine from M&S. If you are really stuck I have a spare set I put away for DS1 starting in two years time (because they were on 2 for 3 offer in the summer) and you could buy them off me if you really can't get hold of any.

Turniphead1 · 09/01/2009 00:43

I should say that my DD started school this Sept (I haven't been buying schooll kit for my DS two years ahead on its own )

FourArms · 09/01/2009 09:35

They had loads in Sainsburys when I was in this week.

JanieK · 09/01/2009 11:11

My local sainsburys had the yellow ones reduced in their sale the other day and the new uniforms were in for this year with more but in new packaging.

gigglewitch · 09/01/2009 21:06

oi, tell me where to send it - can post tomorrow

BlueSapphire77 · 09/01/2009 21:20

Tesco saw some today
Asda saw some last week when i went shopping
M&S..bit better quality

nicolamumof3 · 09/01/2009 21:21

Wills · 10/01/2009 23:10

Giggle witch - have just sent you an email.

The probs with Tesco, Asda and M&S is that they don't do yellow around here and the useful Adams closed down ages ago
