How funny, I really wanted a toureg but fuel consumption REALLY put me off, loved the tiguan but when I test drove it, it broke down!!

i'm bumping this cause dh and i are on the tiguan/toureg trail and wondering if it fits three childrens seats......worried about a new one that breaks down (this would be me with a 4 yr old, 2yr old and new baby)

I wanted a toureg then due to fuel consumption a tiguan as I wanted a bigger car and a bigger car boot. Yet the back seat and the boot are exactly the same size as my what I had at the time Golf - we measured them in the showroom so would doubt this would suit?

what does everyone think of these?

there is a third row and when folded down there is a massive boot. we have a great volvo at the moment which we love...very safe feeling and comfy but cant fit a third seat comfortably. we drive a lot to the south of france and scotland.

XC90 is nice
we've hired one before
extra row of seats not great for adults but fine for kids/smaller teens
