Has anyone tried the silver cross fizz lightweight stroller? Or any other stroller under 5kg?

I want it because it's easier than my huge buggy, it's quick to chuck in the car and take to people when they mind DS, and we can take it on holiday as handluggage as it's under 5kg.

But it is £75, and I already have a £600 Bebecar.

Is it good enough to spend £75 on? Or is there anything else under 5kg?

I would personally rather have a maclaren volo you can get the 2008 version v.cheap here...
www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/searchresults_0_Price%7C1_primary_10751_set_-1__10001?Nt t=maclaren+volo as they have brought out new version which has a recline for £80!

I personally think volo is nicer than the fizz in the end i brought a quest as wanted something sturdier and wanted a decent lie back, but fizz is cheaper here as well!

fizz here under £60

Ooo decisions decisions. I like both. I'll let DP pick.

Thanks for the links. I only like the black and grey fizz as the green and blue is a little gaudy.

hi we have a jane energy- which you can use from birth too (so better for sell on value) seem to remember it was circa 80 quid

I really really wanted a fizz as I love silver cross but compared to my dazzle and 3d I felt the fizz was just a bit cheap.

I've had 2 maclaren quest's, one I loved, the other I hated, just about to buy a triumph and am on my second volo. I love the volo, with my main pushchair a bugaboo I have found a lot of pushchairs (have had over 30) just feel cheap. I loved the volo, my dd is two today but did not feel happy using it with her until she was 22 months though she will sleep bolt upright in it!

Forgot to say, who on earth are you flying with as pushchairs are not included in your weight allowance, many airlines also include travel cots. We travel short haul about 3 times a year, we just leave the pushchair at the foot of the plane in it's buggy bag??

nicolamumof3 · 06/01/2009 07:59

i think the only one you will get on as hand luggage is maybe a zapp because of the size folded? i don't think they would let you take a normal umbrellla fold onto the plane?

We have a Fizz.

I love it.

It looks quite flimsy, but 4 year old DD1 is able to sit in it and be pushed around.

We got it because I loved the colour (Blue & Green) and because the hood has sun protection in it.

The only problem I have with it is that it tips over really easily if you put bags on the handles.
