Has anyone sent their Phil and Ted's back for repair?

The front wheel on ours won't swivel any more and they've sent us a repair kit but it keeps happening. Is it possible to send it back for repair or does that mean shipping it to New Zealand?

My friend has returned hers to the Mothercare where she bought it as I think the pushchair was pulling to the left. They gave her a pushchair to use while hers was being repaired. She was happy with it at first but now says it's doing the same thing again & wouldn't recommend a P & T to anyone

furrycat, exactly the same has happened to us, we are on our third bearing kit and only had pushchair since end of Aug 08 v.unimpressed (so is hubby who has now changed three of these!!) anyway we bought from oxford pram centre who have admitted that there was a faulty batch of these, so be interested to find out when you bought yours.

Your contract under mfr's warranty is with the shop not directly with p&t we now have problems with our rear axles which have rusted, again been told this is perfectly normal and a common fault!!! im not impressed love my p&t but you don't expect these problems when forking out over £350 on a pushchair!

the mud guard on mine was warped, and mothercare said they would send one free

nicolamumof3, we bought ours in a local independent shop and it was our fault - DH caught the wheel under a train as he was getting off it with the buggy.

johnbarrowmanlovesme, do you know if it was repaired in this country as we'll be the ones shelling out the freight charges

if they can tell its been damaged rather than faulty tho it might not be covered?

furrycat · 05/01/2009 20:27

i'm not expecting it to be covered - happy to pay for it but am worried it will cost the earth if it has to be shipped to New Zealand!

Hi

My P&T had been back to the Out N About who are the UK distributor for Phil and Teds, their no is 01234 344230. They are really helpful but recently my friend had a problem with her pram and called them only to be told they no longer deal with the public directly so fingers crossed they talk to you!

Thank you
