Can I return 3-month-old boots??

Bought DD2 Clarks boots at the end of September and the zip has burst on one of them. I think that, given the price, the zip should not be bursting after just 3 months, though she has worn them a lot. D'you think I have a chance of getting them replaced?

I'd take them back. What have you got to lose? Although they may well give you a hard time over it so be prepared to stand your ground. Kids shoes are expensive and the price should reflect the quality. I took DD's boots back to Clarks because she walked on damp grass and her feet were soaked through to her socks. The staff were very rude but they did give me a new pair.

Well, believe it or not, they refunded me the money!! Wahey. And they were really polite and not at all difficult about it.

They would have preferred to give me a replacement (and I would have preferred that too) but they had nothing left in her size. So unfortunately, that means I now have to find her new winter boots at a time when the shops are selling off their stock - hey-ho, every silver lining has a cloud.
