has anyone seen kiddizoom camera advert

DD4 got one of those vtech kiddizoom cameras for christmas - really great present - until this morning i found her with it immersed in the fish tank. Needless to say it's now knackered, and we don't have the receipt.
When I tried to discuss it with her she says but that's what they did on the tv advert. I haven't seen the advert but tbh am inclined to believe her (although obviously also inclined to believe she's blatantly lying to cover her butt) , in which case i think i'm quite entitled to ask for a replacement. Has anybody actually seen the advert, so that i can get my facts right before taking it up with vtech??

The girl drops it into the fishbowl....Ds demanded it for months til 'Father christmas' brought it... bad pics of mummy now!!

Yes it does show one in a fish tank. How stupid, surely they know kids will copy it

peggotty · 04/01/2009 20:07

I think it is dropped into a fish tank at one point, yes. But I can't remember if the ad is for vtech or the fisher price one, sorry.

PersonalClown · 04/01/2009 20:09

It's the fisher price one advertised. I know because Ds is autistic and was adamant that he wanted the Vtech one that my friends kids have.

Ah yes forgot there's 2 kiddie cameras around. Could be the Fisher Price one, sorry.

Instrucion manual does say not to insert into water here

ComeOVeneer · 04/01/2009 20:18

It is the Fisher price one that is waterproof. Sorry

trixibel · 04/01/2009 20:20

Yes did notice the manual said don't immerse in water, so it probably was the other advert. Still can hardly tell her off when she did see it on tv ad. Might just chance it and ask for replacement anyway. Thanks for your replies.
