Is the quinny zapp really THAT bad?

I am planning a cull on my buggy collection as dd (2.3) wants to walk 99% of the time) but I need something for the occasional day out/holiday or when we actually have to be on time... (and I like pushchairs )

I saw the zapp at the weekend and I like it! The main things I want are small when foolded, easy to push and cheap. I don't need it to recline, pushchair napping is saddly missed. It would possibly be useful if you could fit a buggy board to it... but the reviews of the zapp are on the most part awfull!

is it really that bad? and is the baby jogger mini city or the quick smart, or the britax verve any better??

baby jogger mini city much better. Doesn't trap your hand when folding/unfolding it. Huge seat - large enough for a 4 year old. folds up easily. Full receline, huge hood for sun shading. Basket on it for shopping.

I really like the zapp - had one for dd since she was 1.5 and she still uses it very occassionally (she's 5 next month). Folds very small and really light and easy to push even with one hand. Downside is nowhere to store shopping.

Love mine, was the best buggy i had for ds, plus it was the only thing that fitted into the back of my mini

is the city mini the one that is reduced in argos? I think i have found a rival for the petite star zia if I ever need a new buggy! Im looking for an excuse to buy a new one!

Zapp is a good buggy. No frills, small and fairly light. No complaints from me

So glad to hear so many positives and from mums of toddlers too!

was worried about how it would handle anything other than a shopping centre floor. nice to here that its survived a forest walk!

can't imagine how bit the baby jogger mini city will be folded(i have the measurements but I just can't imagine it...) the more I think about it that is the most important thing for me so I guess I have to go and veiw one somewhere....

I have a Zapp. I like it, though the lack of anywhere to store shopping is a bit of a pain.
It does fold very small, and easy to push because it is so light.

ohdearwhatamess · 04/01/2009 13:35

We've got one to use as a 2nd pushchair that would fit in dh's tiny car boot.

I don't find it a pain to fold and unfold, but dh does.
Lack of shopping basket or anywhere to put stuff can be irritating.
Lovely to push on paved surfaces - not so good on grass, country paths, cobbles, and hopeless on gravel.

Great for what it is though.
