rear-facing brio zenta car seat: anyone in cambridge know about these and can help us fit one?

would like to get ds a rear facing group 1/2 car seat now he's outgrowing his group 0+. but can't make a long drive to one of the few shops that sell one to get it fitted properly, and know correct fitting is important. does anyone in/near cambridge have a rear-facing brio zenta (like this one) who would be kind enough to show us how to fit it properly if we bought one? thanks!

I would recommend that you definitively know it is a perfect fit in your car before buying it.
I had it tried in my large estate car and completely lost the use of the front passenger seat. In addition to this, it wobbled even after being tethered, so was completely unsuited to my car. The Brio vehicle list had my car on it, so I suspect its accuracy.

oh. good advice. haven't even managed to locate the brio vehicle list yet. so next question - anyone have this car seat in a vauxhall astra? or can anyone recommend a rear facing seat that fits? TA!

I would call the Essex In Car Safety Centre for their experience with your car (they fit all manner of seats in a large range of cars - 01268 297500).
The website rearfacing.co.uk is a more relevant source of information.

what about incar safety in milton keynes or is that too far?

MamaChris · 06/01/2009 20:54

I had thought Milton Keynes was too far as ds gets carsick on long trips. But I realised we don't actually need to take ds, just the car! I'll give the Essex Centre a ring too in advance though, be nice to be clear what we're looking for. Thanks.

We have a Zento, though sadly in Bershire so a long way off. We did get it in our three door Corsa, before we up-graded, though the front seat was a good way forward, I'm 5'11" and won't have wanted to do a long journey in the front.
I think the centre in Essex is your best bet, but we fitted our from the instruction CD that came with it and I happy enough to be planning to get another when number two comes along.
