I got an email a while back saying this new discount site from the Book People was on its way. About a week before xmas I got an email saying it was live and if you ordered before 1pm they would guarrantee christmas delivery. So I did, but it took me all morning as they obviously had problems with their site.
The next day I get an email saying there were problems with my card. When I call them, they say I entered the wrong expiry and issue number (I did not). So they put the order through and said they would still try to get it to me for xmas.
Since then I have heard and received nothing. I tried to call them this morning and it says they are closed until 8am Jan 2nd (today!) so please call back. Then suddenly I get an email saying my order status has changed - to cancelled! With no explanation at all!
I tried to contact them via their website, but their feedback form only allows such limited characters that it is impossible to explain anything.
I am so disgusted with them. And really disapointed too as the Book People have always been great.
So this is my warning to you all - DON'T order from them!
